Johnson x Vitalis – Gelding, 172cm, 2017

This attractive gelding has a lot of presence around the arena and is a very interesting horse to bring through the levels as he is already showing an enormous talent for the collection work (piaffe/passage). He has not actually been forced at all to train it, but offers it naturally when you collect in the trot. The same applies for the canter work in which the collection is easy for him, so you can see that he is going to have fabulous pirouettes later on. He is a bit of macho and has a bit of an opinion, so would possibly not be suited to amateur riders or someone who is nervous. The more you get him concentrated on his work, the better he goes, so he does need someone with a good routine who knows what they are doing. That said he is not mean, just got some cheek. He competed well in young horse competitions, so has seen a bit of life, but due to Covid, he has been training further at home the last year.

The ultimate schoolmaster!! Gorgeous type and really, really easy to ride. He has a wonderful light frame and makes the work look easy. He is competing at small tour level and the judges love him. He is also very attentive in and around the stable, which makes him such a nice horse to work with. This horse would make pretty much everyone a happy owner, especially someone wanting to learn the ropes or to gain confidance at ST level. He has push button changes and is straight and consistant in his work. Not spooky or sharp, but nicely forward going.
